Tigro metai nustatomi pagal tradicinį kinų kalendorių. "Tigras" zodiake atitinka yin dvylikoje žemiškųjų šakų. Tigro metai yra yin metai, o kas dvylika metų yra ciklas. Pavyzdžiui, 2022 metai Grigaliaus kalendoriuje iš esmės atitinka Tigro metus, tai yra Renyino metus.
